Storyfix is an interactive fiction service operated by Awakened Media (a UK business). By creating an account, signing in, or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Storyfix delivers personalised, choice-driven fiction. Stories are generated, paced, and shaped using software, and may include text, imagery, audio, and music. Output varies between users and between sessions. Stories are entertainment only and are not factual, predictive, or representative of any real person, event, or place.

You may use the service only for personal, non-commercial enjoyment. You may not scrape, reproduce, redistribute, train models on, or republish any output without our prior written permission.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account, your sign-in credentials, and any activity that takes place through it. We may suspend or close any account at our sole discretion, at any time, without notice or reason.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Storyfix.

Credits

Storyfix uses a credit system. Credits are an internal usage allowance, not money, not a financial product, and not redeemable for cash.

We may grant free credits at our sole discretion. We may also vary, withdraw, expire, or remove any free credits at any time, for any reason, without notice.

Where credits are purchased, they are licensed to you for use within Storyfix only. Purchases are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable. Credits have no monetary value, expire when your account is closed, and may not be exchanged or returned.

The cost in credits of any feature (turns, scenes, narration, music, or other) may be changed at any time, at our sole discretion, including retroactively.

No guarantees

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, express or implied, including (without limitation) any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, uninterrupted operation, or that any particular feature will continue to exist.

We may change, pause, limit, withdraw, restrict, or discontinue any part of the service — including any specific story, feature, or your access to it — at any time, for any reason, without notice and without liability.

User conduct

You agree not to: (a) attempt to circumvent the credit system, signup gate, or any technical limit; (b) use the service to generate, request, or distribute illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringing content; (c) reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying prompts, models, or generation logic; (d) use automated tools, bots, or scrapers against the service.

Breach of any of the above entitles us to suspend or close your account and forfeit any unused credits without refund.

Intellectual property

All software, design, prompts, generation logic, story configurations, and any reusable creative material underlying the service are the intellectual property of Awakened Media. Generated story output is provided to you for personal enjoyment only — you do not acquire ownership, copyright, or any commercial rights in it.

Third parties

The service uses third-party providers (including model vendors, hosting, analytics, payment processing, and email delivery). We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, content, or availability of any third party. Sign-in via Google or other providers is subject to their own terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Awakened Media, its officers, employees, contributors, and licensors accept no liability whatsoever for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage — including loss of data, loss of credits, loss of access, loss of enjoyment, distress, or any commercial loss — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims is limited to the lesser of: (a) the amount you paid us in the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £20.

You use the service entirely at your own risk.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Awakened Media against any claim, loss, damage, cost, or expense (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes

We may update these terms at any time, without notice. The current version is the version published on this page. Continued use of the service after any change constitutes acceptance.
